The 2009 NCAA Division I college baseball season opens on Friday, Feb. 20, and PG Crosschecker presents its take of the nation’s Top 100 teams from a more unconventional scouting approach.

Not only are we providing (1.) a brief overview of all 100 teams, but we’ve also identified (2.) each team’s projected everyday lineup with 2008 stats noted, (3.) our take on the players on each team’s roster with the “best tools” in 13 different categories and (4.) a brief scouting profile on the best prospect in the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes.

The capsules have been written almost in their entirety by PG Crosschecker scouts David Rawnsley and Jeff Simpson, with input from PG Crosschecker national director Allan Simpson.
