OVERVIEW: The Hatters rank as pre-season favorites in the Atlantic Sun with the return of their top two starters, junior RHP Corey Kluber (6-5, 3.61) and senior LHP Chris Ingoglia (6-2, 3.76), swingman sophomore RHP Jake Hitchcock (6-0, 3.52) and junior RHP Robbie Elsemiller (7-3, 2.56, 14 SV). The Pruitt brothers, Braedyn (.300-4-44), a senior third baseman, and Brian (.283-7-39), a sophomore first baseman, are the team’s top returning hitters.

TOP PROSPECT/JUNIOR: Corey Kluber, rhp. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Texas product will anchor the Hatters pitching staff. In addition to an 89-93 mph fastball, he has the makings of three solid off-speed pitches: a change, curve and cutter. He just needs to refine his overall command to break into the early rounds of this year’s draft.

TOP FRESHMAN: Kevin Johnson, ss. TOP SOPHOMORE: Brian Pruitt, 1b. TOP SENIOR: Braedyn Pruitt, 3b.
